Insight Lands 16 Leaders on CRN’s 2021 Women of the Channel

Insight President Joyce Mullen, three other executives also named as Power 60 Solution Providers driving channel success

TEMPE, Ariz., May 14, 2021 – Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ: NSIT), the global integrator of Insight Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, announced today that 16 Insight leaders have been named to the 2021 Women of the Channel list composed annually by CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company.

Among Insight’s Women of the Channel, four have been named among CRN’s Power 60 Solution Providers, an elite subset of female executives at solution provider organizations whose insight and influence in their respective companies help drive channel success. Insight’s Power 60 executives are Joyce Mullen, president, Insight North America; Megan Amdahl, senior vice president of operations, partner management and strategic alliances; Brenda Hudson, senior vice president, commercial sales, sales enablement, learning and development; and Amy Protexter, senior vice president, marketing.

“This year marks Insight’s greatest ever representation on CRN Women of the Channel, and it’s a true reflection of the diverse leadership we have established across our organization,” said Ken Lamneck, Insight president and CEO. “The channel still has plenty of room to grow in terms of bringing more women into top roles. But I can confidently say that many of the brightest minds in technology already are shaping Insight’s proficiency in helping businesses manage today while preparing for a more digital future.”

Insight is recognized as an industry champion of diversity and inclusion, most notably in the past year being named to the Fortune 2021 World’s Most Admired Companies, Forbes 2021 America’s Best Employers for Diversity, and Forbes 2020 World’s Best Employers. Insight also maintains the second greatest representation in technology of women across top executive roles, according to a recent industry report.

Mullen, formerly Dell’s president of global channel, embedded and edge solutions, leads an Insight North America team of 8,700 professionals in the delivery of innovative solutions and services that complement the company’s approximately 6,000 technology partners’ products and services. Since joining Insight in October, she has prioritized bringing greater value to clients by unifying and simplifying offerings across Insight’s core solutions in the areas that matter most to organizations: enabling digitization, including automation and gathering business intelligence at the edge; optimizing hybrid cloud ecosystems for secure, anywhere operationsempowering highly dispersed workforces; and creating IT supply chain simplicity.

Amdahl has overseen global logistics, supply chain, integration services offerings, business transformation, client operations and profitable growth since assuming her current role in 2016. In 2020, she also assumed responsibility for partner management and strategic alliances. She led the successful onboarding of 2,000 teammates and tens of thousands of clients from Insight’s acquisition of PCM, Inc., while also guiding a global team of 2,400 through the pandemic, including integration and distribution center teammates who remained on-site to deliver technology to essential businesses.

Hudson, who guides solution delivery to small, medium and commercial businesses, created a go-to-market strategy that achieved 17% gross profit growth in 2020, even as most of the market compressed due to COVID-19. She is responsible for more than 700 teammates and the company’s $1 billion inside sales business, which has seen double-digit growth for the last three years.

When the pandemic forced rapid changes to client engagement, Protexter leveraged Insight's excellence in digital communications to orchestrate 60% more traffic to insight.com, $1.78 billion in e-commerce revenue and 26% marketing-earned gross profit growth year over year. Her emphasis on a global “serve don’t sell” approach by  marketers and sales teams reassured clients of Insight's purpose to co-navigate the crisis together.

Recognizing the unique strengths, vision and achievements of a select group of women, the annual Women of the Channel list acknowledges channel leaders who are blazing a trail for future generations. These women are from all areas of the IT ecosystem, including technology vendors, distributors, solution providers and other IT organizations. The CRN editorial team selects the honorees to celebrate a list of exceptional women acclaimed for their contributions to channel advocacy, growth, thought leadership and dedication to the IT channel.
